Score out of 10: ... 6 out of 10 This show seemed to be more difficult to get done with RL things hitting us hard. I mean my matches were done early enough, but really I’m sure that more time could have been spent on what I wrote versus what others wrote for the show. The OOC Star of the Cycle was likely Val as she wrote a good portion of the show and did really well doing it. I can do better and I will.
Star of the Night: … I think for the most part, there wasn’t really a stand out star. Everyone seemed to sorta blend in from one segment to the next. If I had to choose, I would go with Rob Riot from the entrance segment to the match with Eron Hunter, he showed us all why he is the Conquest Champion.
Match of the Night: ... Now, I know many of you might pick matches that get closer to the main event and what not, but I really enjoyed Steve Murdock versus Apathy. I think RJ wrote this piece and it was really good. Both wrestlers really shown in the match nd it was a vicious match fitting both of these wrestlers.
Segment of the Night: ... This has the be the Bastards at the opening of the show. It was well played out and exciting to read. The fact that Fowler might not want revenge is funny, but you know he gonna want payback when he gets time again.
Spot of the Night: ... Oh! Kara getting knocked out cold by Lex Collins was wicked. I did not see that one coming! Lex’s reaction to what he did was a great, facey thing to do. I loved it.
Notes/Thoughts: ... Most of my notes fall down on me putting a little more effort into writing the matches to better attend to trying to reach the “Match of the Night” efforts that the other match writers consistently put out. The show was great, but I think together, we can make it so much better.

Score out of 10: Eight out of ten. I liked this show quite a lot more than the last one. I think maybe you kick your own arse too hard when you think you haven't done enough, Allen. Either that or we look for different things in shows!
Star of the Night: Saviour Hawkins gets a win and a big angle straight out of the gate, so that should be great for him. Eddie picked up a big win against Waters, and I suppose old man Riot had a good time out there too, and of course Frankie won the main event. No standout individual "star of the night," but lots of folks doing well.
Match of the Night: I feel weird nominating the match my character was in, so I'll nominate Waters vs Williams. I loved the pacing and the violence of this, and I thought the story made sense coming out of Waters turning down the help that would probably have won him the match just before he came through the curtain.
Segment of the Night: I really did enjoy that pre-Waters/Williams segment, especially with Zepp going looking for Colin Kaepernick and getting locked in a cupboard. Also I know it's not a segment, but the Illuminati advert tickled me. I think I have to recognise that it was the opening, though. We're The Bastards for a reason.
Spot of the Night: The elbow pad of destiny! Was it loaded? Was it not? We'll never know - all we know for sure is that Frank Windsor is still your Valour Champion.
Notes/Thoughts: I want to give a shout out to whoever wrote my match. I think it was probably the same person who wrote my last at the match show and man, you just fundamentally get my character. The writing is perfect. Catching a kick and turning it into the Locking Clamp? Chef's kiss. Overall, the formatting was consistent throughout the show and the pacing was very good. An example of a one-letter typo changing the meaning of an entire paragraph, though:-
"Blaise McClancy – So to recap: Be on the look out for CWF Presents: Vanguard on any of our streaming partners… and we’re not affiliated with Ik0n wrestling and its Various Federations."
I'm guessing that "not" should have been "now!"
One minor gripe - I love SKYND more than any other human being in the world and I will fight anyone who claims otherwise, but that Apathy entrance is crazy long. It might be longer than Martin's old Nocturnal entrance, and that had the running time of a movie.
As for Vanguard - I am both excited and trepidatious. Our roster looks big on paper, but is everyone on the roster active enough to cover two shows? I guess there's only one way to find out, and I'm interested in the interview segments and the new format. Kudos for trying new things and constantly working to push the fed forward - the staff at CWF are excellent.

FYI for Rob - I was going to write your match but before I was drowned out I tagged out to Valora for it. So all props to her on that. And thanks Allen for the notes on Murdock vs. Apathy.
As for Vanguard - it's an experiment. fingers crossed.

Yeah, that was a long read. So I'm glad the show will be divided into two. Finger crossed that it works out well.
The beginning with the Bastards was one of my favorite segments this week, with Frank Windsor definitely in main spot. Hard to decide which match was my favorite. I actually like the main event, but it's main event, so I'll choose a non-main event match which is Eddie Williams vs. Iro Waters. Extra kudos for Apathy vs. Savior and Greg vs. Kronin.
Most of segments are well written for an exception: the shootout between thugs and Reinhardts. I usually don't like any shootouts or gun use in a wrestling show because it's over the top and unnecessary. And this one wasN't good either in general, to be honest. Thugs come out shooting around like idiots in a populated area, trying to gun the Reinhardts down, live and recording? For what? Why even shootout and not something more silent? And both Reinhardts shrug the shootout off like nothing and just go wrestle? Why there is no police seen? What about they interrogating the victims including Reinhardts? At least Kara's background as former special force member makes sense in this scene. After reading I just have the feeling the scene was just for cheap showoff, you know?
The angle are in work which I find it very good, for example, the abduction of Isaiah Zapp to isolate Iro Waters from him and to the Von Krauss' army or the sudden appearance of DemoniK against Savior without attacking him. Or where Lana's guards go for Eoin but Apathy makes the save.
And there's of course the big announcement of Blaise about Vanguard. Very nice made, explains pretty much everything.
Altough I did not know that the little video was made to public... but I guess Rav and James weren't alone there as they thought.
The results were expected but I like the angle done in the main event. Was the elbow pad rigged or not? I think it was and Valora will rain the Rage of the Gods on him for that. Very nice done selling Frank as a cheating SOB.
Conclusion: a good show but it lacked material from starpower aside from The Bastards. But hey, Ravenna will be back at WZ#9.
